MINERAL WELLS (CBSDFW.COM) – A 7-year-old girl from Mineral Wells has been reunited with her mother after the girl was taken away from her home Saturday.  Mineral Wells Police say Rosalea Giambanco was taken by her father.

Detectives say  Salvatore “Slade” Giambanco, took his daughter to Springtown, just north of Weatherford. When police arrived at the father’s place of work, the 39-year-old fled on foot. Rosalea was found safe inside the business.

The girl and her mother, Janicka Gunn, were reunited at the Child Protective Services office in Weatherford.  A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Salvatore Giambanco for violating his probation.

Police say Rosalea was in the front yard of her home in the 500 block of Southwest 17th Street around 4:30 p.m., Saturday when she was taken.

The Mineral Wells Police Department was unable to secure an Amber Alert, because neither parent had court-ordered custody of the child.

Texas law also stipulates that when a parent takes a child, that parent has to commit murder or attempted murder after the kidnapping for the alert to be issued.

After viewin what the other television stations have reported regarding the Amber Alert, I find that they are all reporting the same information. My opinion is that it is not misinformation on the part of the media but rather a lack of judgement regarding justice and human lives on the part of our Texas Lawmakers. I could be wrong.
