8 Families Displaced After 3-Alarm Fire In Dallas

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Eight families are displaced from their homes after a three-alarm fire broke out at the Whispering Hollow Apartments in the 6900 block of S. Cockrell Hill Sunday afternoon.

The Red Cross is helping the affected families. Eight units were damaged in the fire, and officials do not know what caused it.

A Dallas Fire Rescue spokesman said the fire was upgraded to three alarms for manpower rotation to prevent any chance of heat exhaustion among the firefighters.
