The summer continues to heat up with some great new exhibits, concerts and attractions!
First up – get ready for some amazing new creatures in town! Chinasaurs take over the Museum of Nature and Science in Fair Park through September 5. The impressive new exhibit features more than 20 full-scale dinosaur skeletons – up to 42 feet long – and fossilized dinosaur nests and eggs.
Five animatronic Chinasaurs move around in life-like ways, bringing the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous Periods to life.
Lots of fun for all ages – the interactive dig pits, hands-on “touchable” fossils and craft stations will further immerse you in the Chinasaurs experience!
Great news for foodies! It’s time for the annual Taste Of Dallas on Friday, July from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at Fair Park. You can Eat. Drink. Shop. Repeat. The popular annual event returns to Fair Park with a monumental blow-out to commemorate its 25 years.
As the largest tasting event in DFW, Taste of Dallas is set to draw 150,000 hungry tasters in its three days at Fair Park – July 8-10, 2011. Culinary delights from Dallas’ top chefs & most popular restaurants will delight even the pickiest of eaters!
Pop diva Rihanna comes to the AAC on Friday at 7:30 p.m. with her Loud Tour Guest Cee Lo Green will also help bring the house down!
The new show will feature all new production, costumes and stage design creating a visual and audio event with the once in a lifetime excitement her fans around the world have come to expect from one of the brightest stars in music today.
Lastly – Cedric the Entertainer brings his patented brand of humor to the Verizon Theatre at Grand Prairie on Saturday at 8:00 p.m.
Cedric Antonio Kyles is best known by his stage name Cedric the Entertainer and has become a very popular and well loved American actor and comedian. He is perhaps best known as the co-star of the WB sitcom The Steve Harvey Show, and as Eddie in the Barbershop films.
