DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – The reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspect who savagely beat and sexually assaulted a 30-year-old woman in the Knox-Henderson neighborhood last month has more than quadrupled.

North Texas Crime Stoppers is now offering a $45,500 reward in the case.

According to a Dallas Police Department incident report, the woman was walking to her car in the 2400 block of N. Henderson Ave. on June 13 at 2 a.m. after parting with friends. The suspect approached her, punched her in the face and raped her, the police report says.

The woman was found naked and beaten on Garrett Avenue at about 4:30 a.m., which runs parallel to Henderson Ave.

She was hospitalized for her injuries and told investigators the last thing she remembered was being punched repeatedly in the face.

“Because of the vicious nature of this attack, Crime Stoppers along with Mark Cuban and other concerned citizens are offering a reward of up to $45,500 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of this suspect,” said Jean Dean, Crime Stoppers spokesperson, in a statement.

The reward has more than quadrupled since it was originally issued. Crime Stoppers first issued a $10,000 reward before a friend of the victim added another $5,000. Shortly after, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban added $20,000 to the reward.

On Tuesday, Dean said an anonymous donor added another $10,000 to the fund.

Knox-Henderson is a popular neighborhood filled with bars, restaurants and apartments sandwiched between Ross Ave. and North Central Expressway in the east part of the city. Many residents sent email alerts and Facebook posts urging others to be alert at night after the vicious attack.

“Please be careful around J Blacks and Capitol. A friend of a co-worker’s was brutally beaten and raped,” read an email sent out shortly after the incident. “I have many times walked to my car myself from Capitol and thought nothing of it, but it is still obviously a very rough neighborhood.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 214.373.8477 or the Dallas Police Assaults Unit at 214.671.3584. Tipsters remain anonymous.
