DECATUR (CBSDFW.COM) – Four people died in an early morning collision when a Ford Mustang veered into a truck, slamming into it head-on.

The accident happened around 3:15 a.m. Saturday on Farm-to-Market 730, roughly six miles northeast of Decatur.

The Mustang driver, 17-year-old Fort Worth resident Danny Nalley, crashed head-on with a Ford F350, driven by Burleson resident Richard Rand, 30. Rand, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Wise Regional Hospital with minor injuries.

Nalley was air-lifted to JPS Hospital in Fort Worth. He remains in critical condition.

The four passengers in the Mustang all died in the wreck. Department of Public Safety spokesman Lonnie Haschel identified Kevin Brickey, 19, of Blue Mound, and Vincent William, 19, of Wakefield Mass., as two of the victims. The names of the other two victims have not been released.

SEATBELTS FOLKS….and don’t get a Mustang for a 17 year old driver! Good grief.

Prayers out to all of the families.

  2. Grahawk says:

Something wrong with the location on the map as the article said the accident occurred 6 miles NE of Decatur.

  3. Krissy Burke says:

What horrible accident. Prayers to all of the families involved. Please people, do not buy your 17 year old a hot-rod car. This is so sad and scary.

  4. JP says:

In my 30 years working as a journalist I saw it time and again, parents love their kids so much they buy them fast cars they kill themselves and others in.

3:15 am do you know where your children are??????

  6. dave says:

Teenagers, 3:15 am. in the morning, and Ford Mustang. That just about says it all.

  7. David says:

Horrible as this is, the kind of car has absolutely no bearing on it. As a 17 year old I could get a 4-cylinder Datsun pickup to 100mph, and sadly did it after drinking occasionally. I was lucky and these souls were not. I’m certain some that comment are perfect and never make mistakes, but these things happen and have always happened. Being critical and placing judgement proves nothing….simply pray for them and their families!

Get over the fact that the vehicle the teenager was driving happened to be a Mustang! He could have been in ANY car and this still would/could have happened!

  9. Jen says:

Okay, they had their seat belts on! They were not drinking! it was just an accident! I knew these people that were killed. Please do not put rude things about the accident when you really know nothing. It doesn’t matter what car it was or anything like that. Please just pray for the friends and families of these people. Please just keep your thoughts to yourself.
