Plano Father Faces Manslaughter After Shooting Coworker

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – A Plano man who runs a printing supply business in Dallas faces manslaughter after he allegedly told police that he accidentally shot and killed a coworker.

Daniel White allegedly told officers that he was playing with a gun at his warehouse in Northwest Dallas when it went off and killed a 45-year-old worker.

Just two hours before the shooting, CBS 11 News interviewed White and his wife for a story about their daughter. Micaela White is battling leukemia and other life-threatening complications to her liver and kidneys following a bone marrow transplant. The 18-year-old is in need of A-negative platelets and remains in intensive care at Children’s Medical Center.

This family has 2 heart-wrenching tragedies, and the 45-yr old’s family is grieving as well. This is a horrible situation.
Prayer is needed for both family’s.
They are suffering beyond what we can comprehend.
    Please have a little compassion!

My prayers are with both families. As far as Office Blvd. is concerned he/she is NOT funny. I can’t believe someone would joke about this. It is so tragic.

Rule #1 of guns, never point one at anything you do not intend to kill.
Rule #2, the gun is always loaded (even if it’s not).

This is why no one should consider getting a gun without the proper training and without the intention of following that training.

    Definitely a tragic event.

    That’s really sad to hear.
