STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) - Linebacker LeRon Furr and fullback Montra Nelson are no longer with Oklahoma State’s football team.
Spokesman Kevin Klintworth confirmed Wednesday that Furr is off the roster because of a health issue and Nelson is gone for personal reasons.
The Tulsa World first reported that Furr left the team because of a knee injury and Nelson was dismissed.
Furr, a sophomore from Georgia, opened training camp as the Cowboys’ third-string middle linebacker. He played in three games last year and had four tackles before missing the rest of the season with an injury.
Nelson redshirted last year after joining Oklahoma State out of Bowie High School in Arlington, Texas.
