GARLAND (CBSDFW.COM) - Police in Garland are trying to find the man who robbed a local motel on August 15.

Surveillance video from the robbery shows a tall man with curly red hair entering the Microtel Inn & Suites in the 1900 block of Pendleton Drive.

The suspect waits for the motel employee to exit an office and approach the motel desk. The talks with the clerk briefly then jumps over the counter, strikes the clerk several times and takes money from the cash drawer.

The suspect is described as a white male with red curly hair. He stood about 6’0” tall and weighed somewhere between 230 to 240 pounds. At the time of the robbery the suspect was wearing a green t-shirt and blue athletic shorts.
