DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Denton Police arrested three women and one man in Dallas Sunday who are believed to be part of a major shoplifting ring throughout the region.

Denton Police officers served search warrants at a home in the 4100 block of Abilene Street and another in the 4100 block of Hammerly Drive in West Dallas.

Rigoberto Moncivaiz, 30, Alicia Moncivaiz, 52 and Hilda Guardiola-Espinosa, 28, were arrested at the home on Abilene. Officers arrested Elia Guerra, 38, at the home on Hammerly.

Denton Police spokesman Ryan Grelle described the four suspects as the “fences” of the alleged shoplifting operation. They tell the shoplifters the items they want and pay them for their efforts later.

The items are then sold at Trader’s Village and area flea markets.

Grelle said investigators found a minimum of $300,000 worth of stolen property in one of the homes. Items were recovered from Dollar General, Tom Thumb, The Gap, Old Navy and Children’s Place.

Many of the targeted stores were in Denton, Grelle said, giving the department jurisdiction. Dallas Police did assist in the arrests. All suspects were home when the search warrants were served, he added.

The four were taken to the Denton County Jail for processing.

i dont know what their legal status here is, but this should fall under organized crime statutes. which should increase the penalties is so. either way, throw the book at them. find out who they paid and start chunking these insurgent terrorist out of the country.

  • Rel Woh

How would I know before I read the article that they would be HISPANIC?

    • 2sister

You wouldn’t. I used to work retail, and all kinds of people got arrested for shoplifting. They weren’t all of one race or ethnic group.

      • Ronnie0266

They weren’t merely shoplifting. This was major theft. They were stealing a large amount of items from several stores ($300,00 worth) and re-selling. And I wasn’t surprised to find out they are hispaic either.

    • Nomor Scams

Somehow,I knew it too! We must be clairvoyant!

  • Justin

They all look fat and older than their age. Look like to much fiesta.

  • Nomor Scams

I can tell by looking at them they are illegal dogs. Put them in labor camps, then deport them to South America.

  • J. Morgan

what a wast of the american tax payers money. Bad enough we have to feed them and give them all the benefits of our welfare system including free medical and food stamps but we have to pay for their defense costs as well. Send them back across the boarder where they belong. We just cannot get the message that there are millions of people here in the United States that are in bad shape and need assistance but appears they have preferential treatment over ameircan citizens. What a Joke.

    • Helen

I honesly feel ashamed of every single person judging adn throwing rocks. I hear stories like these on the news all the time and guess what it happens it every single race. Why are you so quick to judge? I can clearly see the ignorance in society when people I don’t care what color you are start speking like fools . One day someone will also judge you

      • FILI

I AGREE WITH YOU! THIS PEOPLE ARE STUPID! THEY AINT GOD SO THEY CAN BE JUDGING! LOOK THIS PEOPLE ARE OUT ALREADY AND WHY CUS THEY WERE INNOCENT AND I KNOW FOR A FACT CUS WE ARE VERY CLOSE TO THEM!

  • Filiberto

SERIOUSLY ALL OF YALL ARE DUMM I KNOW THIS PEOPLE AND I DONT KNOW WHY THE NEWS WOULD WRITE THEIR CASE LIKE THIS THEY ARE JUST PEOPLE LIKE US IF SOMEONE OFFERED US CHEAPER THEN THE STORES SERIOUSLY TELL ME YOU WOULDNT BUY IT THEY WERENT THE ONES SHOPLIFTING THEY WERE JUST BUYING IT THEY DIDNT FORCE NO ONE THE PEOPLE WOULD COME TO THEIR HOUSE WITH THEIR STORIES THAT THEY NEEDED MONEY FOR THEIR FAMILIES YALL ARE SERIOUSLY STUPID FOR JUDGING THIS PEOPLE DONT EVER JUDGE YOU DONT KNOW THEM AND YOU SERIOUSLY DONT KNOW WHATS BEEN GOING ON SO DONT THINK EVERYTHING THE NEWS SAY ITS TRUE AND YOU CAINT JUDGE CUS YOU AINT GOOD WE ARENT ALL PERFECT!

    • darrell

      Filiberto
read my lips. THEY ARE BREAKING THE LAW! they are not like everyone else. in addition, oh never mind, dont get me started on the immigration issue.

  • darrell

    @ Fili
    ROTFLMMFAO
you ignorant idiot. they are out because they posted bail. innocent? not likely with 300k in stolen goods in their homes. you knew them? you need to be investigated as well.
just for the record. i havnt read any news lately about those white or black drug cartels killing people in mexico. or of huge numbers of whites or blacks sneaking across that border down there to steal from this country and drop anchor babies. come to think of it, i wouldnt even know where to look for an illegal white or black person. for hispanics, they are under every damn rock and up everyone’s ass. if hispanics get judged as an entire group its their own fault because they dont police themselves.
put that on your taco and eat it because its reality.

  • Vivi

There is a lot of ignorant people out there, as we can see here. The color and race has nothing to do with stealing and doing illegal things. Everyone and different types of races commit these type of choices. Now don’t sit there and try to act better than others and judge. It’s okay to comment because it is your opinion but don’t be racist to others. Jails are like melting pots because there is not just one race doing the crime. Do your research and be smarter went posting an opinion instead of offending all one race. Don’t do to others what you don’t want don’t to you.

  • 2sister

First, not every Hispanic person is from Mexico.

Second, If they are here illegally, they should be deported after serving time. If they are here legally, they can’t and shouldn’t deport them, but they should still serve time.

  • RR Worker

If they are here “legally” insinuates they are here on a visa. If so, they should be deported after serving their sentences. If not on a visa, then revoke their right to be here and send them back anyway.

  • C Bauer

The term “Hispanic” was created during the Nixon era for the purposes of creating another voter base.

  • darrell

mexi, listen carefully. put down the crack pipe. call 911 and tell them you want to report a dangerous crazed drug high possibly suicidal maniac. then sit perfectly still and wait for them to come and get you.
now read it again to make sure you get it right. its real simple, even a cave man could do it.

  • altha

Mexi You are one stupid something……I really don’t know.

  • Mike Price

Read a book and you might discover that this “Land The WHITE Man CREATED, CARVED out of Savagery and Total Ignorant Rampaging Lunaticville via the WILD INDIANS Beheading People left and Right!” belonged to Mexico….If you’re feeling tough right now, go down to Mexico and you will find plenty of people willing to prove that they are a better shot than you, by shooting a you. I’m not in any way condoning what these four did, but i’m just curious, do you think that the businesses that incurred these losses feel better about it if the suspects were white?

  • 2sister

Legally, actually can insinuate anything from having a visa to being a natural citizen. It depends on the context and how the person is using the word. I realize that there are certain things and crimes that can cause a person to be stripped of citizenship and visas. My last comment wasn’t clear on how I felt. I don’t object to them stripping people for visas and citizenship if the people deserve it, and it can be legally done. I was thinking more along the lines of people who can’t get visas or citizenship stripped away (i.e. born here). These people might not have been born here, but it they were, they can’t deport them, etc. In any case, they need to serve time regardless.

  • Nomor Scams

Texas belonged to Mexico for 12 years before the gringos took/won it,ps demo. Now it has been part of the USA for over 150 years. And the Brown invaders will be kicked out or die trying to fight.

  • Helen
