Let’s talk about some great music this week!
It started out as a movie theater in the mid 40’s – now the Granada is a great place to hear some of the best local and national bands around! They are now offering a special Stretch Your Budget series of 7 concerts for $30 and under – some nights the door fee will be as low as $18.00. The specially priced events begin this weekend with Drive by Truckers. – an Americana band with Southern roots and a great rock sound.the series finishes up with Pepper on Thursday Sept ember 30th. Enjoy some great live music at a bargain!
Looking for some rock and country? Kid Rock with Sheryl Crow will appear in concert Friday at 7:00p at the Gexa Energy Pavillion in Dallas. Kid promises to bring his best bad boy rock and Sheryl will no doubt bring her crowd pleasing sweet songs with a bit of that rocker chick sound too!
This Saturday is the montly Target First Saturdays from 10a to 2p at Nasher Sculpture Center. Held on the first Saturday of each month, this popular family event encourages children to explore big ideas and to discover sculpture through art projects, performances, and other on-site activities. the Nasherkids passport, a small, take-home folder with monthly activity cards, extends the learning experience at home and rewards children for repeat visits to the nasher sculpture center.
Head over to Fort Worth for the Stockyards Championship Rodeo held this Friday at 8:00p at the Cowtown Coliseum and make sure to enjoy the new Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame display – it’s very educational and entertaining as well!
Chris Cagle brings his popular brand of country to Billy Bob’s in Fort Worth this Sunday night at 10p. Tickets are available from $12 – $20. It’s a great bargain for some first class entertainment!
