Longhorns QB Connor Wood Transfers To Colorado

AUSTIN (AP) – Texas redshirt freshman quarterback Connor Wood has decided to leave the Longhorns after one season and transfer to the University of Colorado.

A statement issued by the Longhorns says the University of Texas has granted the former Houston private school star an unconditional release from his scholarship.

The statement quoted Wood as expressing gratitude to his former teammates and to coach Mack Brown and his staff, but he felt he “needed to seek a new opportunity.”

Wood took no game snaps with the Longhorns after a four-year career starting for Second Baptist High School of Houston. There, he passed for 8,417 yards and 73 touchdowns and ran for 1,482 yards and 37 touchdowns.

Would you wanna play for a program that puts all their trust in Gilbert? He could be a great QB, but mack seems to get stuck on “not so great” QB’s. Does the name Sims ring a bell?
