Rest Stop In Burleson Includes Lesson In Patriotism

BURLESON (CBSDFW.COM) – A lot of people have hit the highways for this labor day weekend.  And along the way they’ve made some rest stops.

But when they pull into the rest stop along I-35W in south Burleson, they get something more than just a break from driving.  They learn a lesson in giving.

The region’s VFW members volunteer their time giving out free refreshments every Labor Day weekend to help keep drivers safe.

Many visitors are impressed that people who already served their country in the military still take the time to serve their community too.
