GRAND PRAIRIE (AP) – Police say a murder suspect has been captured in Grand Prairie in the investigation of two bodies dumped in Central Texas.
Grand Prairie police say a tip led to a man arrested Monday at an apartment. Detective Lyle Gensler says a woman was arrested on an unrelated warrant.
Names of the pair haven’t been released. Gensler says a 2004 pickup truck sought in the Limestone County investigation has been recovered.
Sheriff Dennis Wilson says the bodies of a man and a woman were discovered Sunday in a ditch near Mart, about 30 miles east of Waco. A person heading to work noticed the bodies. Autopsies have been ordered.
Officers had been seeking the pickup belonging to the slain man.
Wilson didn’t immediately return a message Monday to The Associated Press.
