Cowboys Release CB Bryan McCann

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – The Cowboys waived defensive back Bryan McCann on Tuesday.

McCann, one of the few healthy cornerbacks with the team, got some playing time against the NY Jets on September 11th while Newman was out and Orlando Scandrick and Mike Jenkins checked out of the game.

With the expected return of Terence Newman from a groin injury and the Cowboys confidence in Frank Walker – McCann had to go tp make room for Laurent Robinson who was cut last week and re-signed this week following a hamsting injury.

Currently the only “healthy” corners on the team are Newman, Walker and Alan Ball.

According to Jerry Jones – speaking with New School on 105.3 The Fan, Miles Austin will not play Monday night agains the Redskins and Dez Bryant, who is still recovering from a thigh bruise, is still questionable.
