World Series & Cowboys To Bring Crowds To Arlington

ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) – The World Series returns to Arlington for the second consecutive year in a row as the Rangers come home to battle the St. Louis Cardinals hosting Games 3, 4, and 5 of the Fall Classic on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, October 22-24.

And by pure coincidence the Dallas Cowboys will be playing host to the St. Louis Rams across the street Sunday afternoon at Cowboys Stadium – needless to say it’s going to be a busy weekend in DFW.

First pitch for all three MLB games is set for 7:05 p.m. The parking lots at the Ballpark will open at 2:00 p.m. and the gates will open at 4:00 p.m. each day.

On Saturday and Monday, additional parking will be available on Cowboys Stadium Lots 4, 12, and 13 as well as all ballpark lots.

On Sunday the Cowboys game is scheduled to begin at 3:15 p.m. and the city of Arlington has recommended that baseball fans should plan on arriving at Rangers Ballpark between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. in order to avoid the traffic congestion exiting Cowboys Stadium. Rangers batting practice begins at 4:15 p.m. followed by the Cardinals batting practice at 5:15 p.m.

In addition, the Road to Six Flags is closed from Ballpark Way to the traffic circle at Nolan Ryan Expressway due to the construction of the World Series postgame hospitality area. Road to Six Flags in this location will not reopen until October 26.

For more information on traffic and parking, visit the City of Arlington’s special World Series website .
