ST. LOUIS (CBSDFW.COM) – Rangers fans who made last minute plans to be in St. Louis for Game 6 of the World Series are having to scramble following the game’s postponement because of rain in the area.
Most who traveled up for the day from North Texas spent the afternoon watching weather reports and radar.
When news came the game was postponed, it meant a quick trip home for some. “We have to go home. We really don’t have a choice. We have other obligations,” fan Nate Ward said before heading back to DFW.
But the rain just meant new plans in St. Louis for others. “We’ve got hotels the next couple of days so we’ll probably go see the arch and figure out something to do in St. Louis,” said fan Jim Johnson.
Many are also trying to book rooms for an extra night and do whatever they can to see the Rangers play for their first World Series title.
Back in North Texas, many bars and restaurants say they’re also having to scramble, but are still just happy we have a game 6 to play for.
