Seven Hospitalized After Carbon Monoxide Leaks Into Fort Worth Home
FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – Seven people were taken to the hospital after carbon monoxide leaked into a home in the 2400 block of Capri Drive near Sansom Park Sunday night.
Fire fighters responded to the call at 6:30 p.m. Initially, it was reported that three children were unresponsive. But a spokesman said when MedStar officials arrived, nobody at the home was unconscious.
Three adults and four children – two 3-year-olds and two 12-year olds – were taken to the hospital. The children were at Cooks Children’s Medical Center Sunday evening. Investigators believe the leak came from the home’s central heater.
Medical and fire officials are on scene to determine the cause of the leak. Nine people were in the home during the leak. A spokesman called the injuries “mild” and expected all parties would be released later in the evening.
