DALLAS (AP) – The Mavericks have signed free agent guard Jerome Randle a day after clearing roster space by trading Rudy Fernandez and Corey Brewer.
Terms of the deal announced Wednesday weren’t disclosed.
Randle played in Turkey for Turk Telekom B.K. after going undrafted in 2010 and failing to catch on with Orlando or Washington in the NBA summer league.
The Chicago native and former University of California – Berkeley star was the Pac-10 player of the year in 2009-10, when he averaged 18.6 points and 4.3 assists. He was a three-year starter for the Golden Bears.
The Mavericks cleared roster and salary cap space Tuesday when they sent Fernandez and Brewer to Denver for a future second-round pick.
