Lockheed Martin Plant Awarded $600mil Contract

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – Lockheed Martin workers at their Fort Worth plant received more good news this week.

The Defense Department has awarded Lockheed a $600 million contract to build twelve F-16s fighter jets for the government of Oman.

The company also got a contract earlier this week to build 18 jets for Iraq.

This order will keep work on the Fort Worth production line going until 2015.
