STILLWATER, OK (AP) – Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy says the Cowboys are past the disappointment of not being able to play for the BCS national championship.
Gundy said Monday he sensed some disappointment from his players immediately after the BCS title-game snub. No. 3 Oklahoma State (11-1) has returned to practice following a two-week break, and he says the Cowboys are focused on their Jan. 2 Fiesta Bowl matchup against No. 4 Stanford (11-1).
Offensive lineman Grant Garner says there’s no reason for the Cowboys to be disappointed.
Gundy says Stanford will be the best team the Cowboys have played this season. And he says Oklahoma State’s first Big 12 Conference title has “changed the way people look at Oklahoma State football.”
