Between December 28 and January 4 there have been seven spare tire thefts across the city.

All of the tires are believed to have been taken either overnight or in the early morning hours.

Warnings have been sent out to neighborhood groups alerting residents to the danger.

Anyone with information about the thefts or the person/persons responsible are asked to contact Richardson police at (972) 744-4800.

The warning in Richardson comes one day after police in Coppell reported an increase in tire thefts in their city.

Information on the city’s website said Coppell police are coordinating with other cities experiencing the same problem.
