FLOWER MOUND (CBSDFW.COM) – Residents who live west of High Road will need to boil their water before using it Tuesday while crews install a new section of piping that will be linked to the town’s new water tower on Freeman Road.
Flower Mound Director of Community Affairs Michael Ryan said about 600 of the city’s 22,500 homes will be affected by the instillation. Residents received a letter in the mail last week notifying them about Tuesday.
The letter advises homeowners to bring the water “to a vigorous rolling boil” and continue for two minutes, as per the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality’s requirements.
Water must be boiled from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Ryan said residents will be told when it’s OK to use the water again.
