Ah, yes, the P. T. Barnum of Christianity! All show and almost zero knowledge of “The Word”. So opposite of his dad down there at Second. Shame. Kind of like Joel Osteen not quite filling the shoes of his dad when it comes to knowledge of the Bible as well, so he resorts to selling motivational books and greeting cards. I guess that’s better than putting tanks and toilets on stage, right?

    1. Jill says:

I totally agree with you. I was one of the original members of Fellowship and it turned into a total circus. The message, “Tank You” with the tank on stage some years ago was the last straw. If I want to be entertained, I’ll go to the movies. If I want to praise the Lord, I go to a “real” church. He is no better than Tillman and all the others that came fore him.

      1. Ichabod says:

Who’s Tillman? Do you mean Robert Tilton? Wow, there’s a blast from the past. Did you know he’s still running his sham, now based in Florida?

      2. SBC says:

Jill, were you a member when it was The Fellowship of Las Colinas? It had a lot of promise back then, but a lack of substance in God’s Word will quickly reveal itself, yes?

  2. The Hedgehog says:

If I win the MegaMillions or Powerball jackpot between now and the end of their spectacle, I will personally promise Ron Jeremy FIVE MILLION DOLLARS if he parachutes nude onto that roof.

    1. Peter North says:

I’ll up the ante and double it if he actually lands on the bed. This is of course contingent on me winning one of those jackpots between now and then as well.

  3. Jennifer Hollebeke says:

I personally don’t see anything wrong with a church making sex in a marriage important. It is a vital part of the marriage relationship and I doubt one wold last that is lacking one. I don’t know about this church or this pastor, but good for them. Sex is only supposed to be between a husband and wife.

    1. SBC says:

It’s not about the issue of sex and marriage – that should never be a taboo sermon by a pastor. God’s plan for marriage commands us to enjoy our spouses sexually. It’s about the way they are presenting it, like a circus attraction or some sort of shock performance. It’s just odd and tacky, even though they won’t be doing anything X-rated for anyone to see, it’s still WEIRD and not appropriate for a church. Of course, I’ve never considered them a real church, not him a real pastor. This is from personal connections with that circle, but then again, what do I know?

  4. Truly Ridiculous says:

Ed Young, Jr., Joel Osteen, Benny Hinn, et. Al. – God’s little clowns.

  5. Ned Flanders says:

Pastor Young, can you please show us, on that rooftop, which positions are acceptable, and which are offensive to God and/or outright sodomy? As a Christian, I would like to know if I’m having the right kind of sex with my wife.

Also, is it wrong to covet my own wife?

    Thank you. We’ll be watching!

    1. Giggidy says:

Is a Rusty Trombone, Dirty Sanchez, Cleveland Steamer, or felching OK, Pastor?

      1. Gi....giddy says:

        How about scat?

      2. Larry Flynt says:

I thought the Cleveland Steamer WAS scat. Oh, you’re talking about EATING it, right?

      3. Monica Mattos says:

Is using a mule or a horse crossing the line?

  6. leo mota says:

I always had respect for the diversity of churches but, this time I think this is the most stupid idea of this (pastor) or should I say exhibitionist which is the real name, please don’t make believe the people this is god’s idea. and have more respect for the house of god.
