ADDISON (CBSDFW.COM) – An Addison businesswoman wants you to take a look at a surveillance tape to help identify a thief that ripped her off.

The video shows an unknown man quietly walk into R&R Resolutions on Landmark Blvd and begin rifling through Rosanne Regenscheid’s purse while it’s sitting on her desk at her hair restoration company while she was in the back, visiting with a client.

“I’m just such a trusting person that I didn’t think it could happen to me.  It was very shocking.” said Roseanna.

Regenscheid says the thief stole her wallet and after pausing a few moments stole her phone as well. He then hopped a DART bus and went to grocery stores and gas stations, where he bought several gift cards.

She’s had a doorbell and more cameras installed since the incident a week ago.

Sorry, you left your purse in plain view.

Don’t leave a purse in plain view, unattended.
Don’t leave the iPhone on the table at a restaurant when you go to the bathroom.
Don’t leave your kids in the car, EVER, especially during the summer.
Don’t leave valuables in plain view in your car.
