FRISCO (CBSDFW.COM) – A Frisco juvenile therapist is in jail, charged with having an inappropriate relationship with one of his clients.
Ronald Hodgkiss, 46, was arrested Friday by the Frisco Police Department for sexual assault with a child, a second degree felony. He posted bond and left jail Saturday, county records show.
According to Frisco Police Hodgkiss had been counseling his alleged victim, a 16-year-old girl.
Hodgkiss is a licensed therapist, and runs Frisco Adolescenet Counseling and Therapy Center.
He is currently being held by the Frisco Police Department on a $100,000 bond.
Frisco Police are unaware of any additional victims, but have asked anyone with information on the case to contact them at (972) 292-6010.

I don’t know why anyone would want to work with teens or children these days. So many of them know they can ruin an adult’s entire career and life just by saying they were molested or raped not to mention cost them a ton of money. Any adult accused is immediately deemed gulity by the public. Nothing gets erased from their record should they be found innocent.

What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty? I really think in situations like this the news should keep the accused name private much like rape victims. Once their name and photo is out there everyone is going to immediately think they are guilty. The news ruins these people’s lives before there ever is a trial.

It is very sad that the media can put such a twisted and negative spin on this before he is given his day in court. Those of us who know this man and his family know he is a pillar in his community, an amazing father and husband and there are a lot of young men including my 3 children who admire this man they call “Uncle Ron”. I can only hope that when the truth comes out and he is proven innocent that his picture is placed “front and center” just as it has been when he has not even been tried yet.

In other articles I’ve ready, they say police have text messages and emails that proves he had an improper relationship. What will you say if he is proven guilty? Will you still defend this “pillar in his community”?

Personally I will. Knowing this man all my life I would never believe he would do something like this. Who cares what “they” say? He is an honest man and just because “they” say hes guilty doesnt mean he really is!
