DART To Field Questions About Bus Changes On Twitter
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Last month, Dallas Area Rapid Transit officials announced a set of proposals that will expand, eliminate or modify certain bus lines in July and December of 2012.
Before these go into effect –– get the details on which lines the proposals would impact here –– federal law mandates that DART hold a public hearing on the changes. That’ll happen at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 24 at DART headquarters downtown.
But officials will be taking to the social media site Twitter for an hour between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to field questions Tuesday.
Here’s how it works: Get familiar with some of the route changes and login to Twitter –– head here if you don’t have an account, it’s free.
The DART folks will be using @dartmedia to field the public’s questions. Just make sure to use the hashtag #2012DART, and it’ll aggregate your question with everyone else’s.
DART will answer those queries while attaching the hashtag and will later archive them and enter them into the public record. If they run out of time, or if questions are too complex to answer in 140 characters, the agency says it will expand on those at its website.
So get familiar with the changes –– there are quite a few, including two new routes that will head to DFW International and Love Field airports –– and take any questions you may have to Twitter.
If you miss it, the Jan. 24 meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. at DART headquarters downtown, 1401 Pacific Avenue.
