MOBILE, AL (AP) – The Senior Bowl quarterback group features two former professional baseball players and several guys with impressive resumes and something to prove.
They’ll all try to showcase their talents in Saturday’s game for top senior NFL draft prospects.
Oklahoma State’s Brandon Weeden of the South and Wisconsin’s Russell Wilson of the North both had pro baseball careers. Wilson and Boise State’s Kellen Moore were prolific passers who measured in at sub-6 feet.
But as Moore says, “What better way to test what you’re all about and challenge yourself.”
Five of the six quarterbacks left college with their schools’ career passing records.
Michigan State’s Kirk Cousins joins Moore and Wilson on the North. Arizona’s Nick Foles and San Diego State’s Ryan Lindley will team with the South’s Weeden.
