Rain, Wet Roads Lead To Accidents
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Rain-slicked roads led to numerous highway accidents in Dallas and Fort Worth during the overnight hours.
One person was hurt after his car plowed into two Dallas Police patrol cars. It happened before midnight on northbound I-35E near LBJ Freeway near the Farmers Branch border.
No officers were hurt and the man who crashed into the squad cars was taken to Methodist Hospital. His injuries were not thought to be life threatening.
Just hours later, another accident at exactly the same spot – northbound I-35E at LBJ Freeway – forced fire and police officials to shut the freeway down.
Elsewhere, Dallas Police reported injury accidents along U.S. Highway 75 in the High Five and on 75 at Knox Street.
One woman had to be rescued from a creek after her car plunged into the water off Market Center Boulevard west of I-35E Stemmons. She was not hurt and a tow truck was called to pluck the vehicle out of the water.
