DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Dallas Fire Rescue is coming under scrutiny for not inspecting buildings properly.
An audit was released today which says the department’s procedures are not up to date.
It says, “The DFR cannot ensure that all buildings and locations that should receive fire inspections are inspected and that these inspections are performed timely. As a result, fire risks within the city of Dallas may not be identified and timely corrected, and the city may lose inspection permit revenue.”
