COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (AP) – Dallas will host pool play for the FIVB World League, the last major international men’s volleyball tournament before the London Olympics.

The U.S. national team, Italy, France and Korea are included in the pool that will play at the Dallas Convention Center June 29-July 1.

The World League, volleyball’s premier annual tournament, is held from May 18 through July 1 at different international venues. Sixteen teams are divided into four pools, with each country hosting an event.

The final round will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria, July 4-8. The pool winners, the best second-place team and host Bulgaria will advance to the final.

The U.S. men’s team, which won the gold medal in the 2008 Beijing Games with an upset of Brazil, has not yet qualified for the London Olympics.
