FORT WORTH (AP) - Officials say two people have been hurt after a small fire at a North Texas apartment complex for senior citizens.
The Fort Worth Fire Department answered the call around 12:30 a.m. Thursday.
Dozens of residents of Normandale Place, which advertises as a retirement community, were evacuated as a precaution.
Officials say a woman has been transported to a hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation. Authorities believe food left cooking on her stove led to the fire that damaged her apartment. Further details on her condition were not immediately available.
Authorities say one man fell while going down some stairs and was treated at the scene.
