One of the more popular holidays celebrated in America is rooted in Ireland. St. Patrick’s Day in the North Texas area has become a tradition, and every Irish Pub will be doing something to honor the holiday. Uptown Dallas is home to the Blackfriar Pub, a place where you can feel comfortable going to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Dublin Square has become one of the most popular Irish pubs in Fort Worth, and it is a great place to spend St. Patrick’s Day. There will be food and drink specials, with the addition of some of the best corned beef and cabbage in town. Afterward, there’s a live band outside and a DJ inside to keep you entertained throughout the evening.

This Arlington establishment that goes full out for St. Patty’s Day. J. Gilligan’s party is such a huge event, that in the evening they block off the entire street for a block party. If you want to stay outside, you’ll find drinks and food readily available, and the fun doesn’t stop there. Entertaining you through the night will be live bands, Irish music, Irish dancers, and even a bag piper both inside and out. Don’t be late, because the music will be starting in the early evening and you wouldn’t want to miss it.

This year’s parade will be held on St. Patrick’s Day, which means it’s likely to be even bigger and better than ever. Tens of thousands will gather on Greenville Avenue to watch the parade and enjoy the Irish music and dancing that will take place outside. Irish pubs on Greenville, such as The Dubliner, will have live bands. Parking is hard to find, so consider a taxi or other means of public transportation. The parade starts at 11 a.m. and is free, although most of the pubs will have a small cover charge for entrance. Partying will continue until 2 a.m., so wear your green and enjoy the fun.
