Eye On Traffic: March 17-23
The Annual St. Patrick’s Parade down Greenville Avenue is happening this Saturday, followed by a concert in Energy Square and subsequent merriment. There will also be a St. Patrick’s 5K at 8 a.m. that morning so expect heavy pedestrian and motor traffic all around Greenville Avenue throughout Saturday.
The Dallas Mavericks will be playing at the American Airlines Center Saturday and on Wednesday and the Stars will be playing home games on Tuesday and Thursday. You’ll see congestion all around the AAC on those days.
Various lanes will be closed on Woodall Rogers East & Westbound from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly for work on the deck park. The Woodall Rogers Westbound exit ramp to St. Paul will also be closed daily and the ramp from Maple Routh to Westbound Woodall Rogers will be closed at night.
The left lane of I-635 Eastbound will be closed nightly from Valley View Lane to Welch Road for drainage work. That will start at 8pm and end at 6am.
Also, various lanes of 635 Westbound will be closed nightly from Josey Lane to I-35E. That construction should end on Sunday.
Some lanes of 75 North & Southbound between El Dorado Parkway and White Avenue will be closed Friday and Saturday nights, from 9pm to 6am the following day.
