The battle continued on Thursday with the U.S. well-represented. 

CBS11 assignments manager Mike Pool wore a Team USA sweater from 1980 while 10pm producer Tom Duerr rocked one from the Hartford Whalers.

Mr. Pool’s patriotic pride was on display.

“Three things,” he said.  “1980.  The chant.  Enough said.”
