RICHARDSON (CBS 11 NEWS) – Monday marked the beginning of Texas’s new standardized test: The STAAR, or the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness.

It replaces the oft-maligned TAKS test. From Richardson, educators and students alike sounded off on the new test.
