DALLAS (AP) – The Dallas online fashion editor who lost her left hand and eye when she walked into the propeller of a small plane has a book deal to tell the story of her accident and recovery.

A public relations firm representing 23-year-old Lauren Scruggs announced Thursday that she has signed with Tyndale Momentum, an imprint of Christian-focused Tyndale House Publishers.

A. Larry Ross Communications said in a news release that Scruggs, founder and editor-in-chief of the online fashion magazine LOLO, will release the book “Still Lolo” in November 2012. The book will be co-authored by Marcus Brotherton and will include insights from her parents and twin sister.

Scruggs was injured after walking into the propeller of a small plane after taking a flight to view Christmas lights in December.

Ridiculous! Maybe it’s time for her to get a REAL job and stop whining about being a fool.

I would have to agree. If she wasn’t white, young, blonde, and a model would anyone have cared one second about this woman. She would have gotten a 5 second mention on the news and that would be it if she was just an average plain jane. Sorry Lauren I won’t be buying your book, I know you might need the money but I can’t help you out. Time to just go on with your life.

Really because of her own lack of judgement she will get to slant a story of poor me………. She suing the people who took her up for her flight. What about them…. they were just doing there job. They are just trying to make a living, what about their family ? Can’t fix stupid.

if she were a cancer survivor or something of that nature, or even a war vet with a disability story to tell, it would be worthwhile to write a book..this young woman now has physical disabilities s because of her own lack of common sense and judgement..i am not being mean because anyone with a disability deserves a chance, but my gosh..what if she had been injured because she was driving drunk..would she try to generate sympathy for that type of stupidity? i wish her luck but a book about her faith getting her through the trials just isnt appropiate..
