McKINNEY (CBSDFW.COM) – Pilar Sanders, the estranged wife of former Dallas Cowboys’ cornerback Deion Sanders, is out of jail.

Prosper police arrested Mrs. Sanders Monday night after she allegedly assaulted her husband at their house.

The couple is in the midst of a contentious divorce.

When Collin County magistrate Paul Raleeh arraigned her this morning, he also granted Mr. Sanders an emergency protective order against her.

The order prohibits Mrs. Sanders from going to the couple’s Prosper house for the next 60 days.  She’s also not allowed to threaten or harass any member of her family.

The judge says she can send someone to her house to collect personal belongings, but only between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Mrs. Sanders left the Collin County Jail Tuesday morning, accompanied by friends, family, and her lawyer.  She said, “I’m a full time mom, I’m there for my child and just haven’t been given a fair shake. I will never give up fighting for my children.”

On Tuesday evening Prosper police released a statement and the media report on Monday’s incident.  Of note is the fact that Deion Sanders and Pilar’s friend Dianna Boswell were cited for simple assault along with Pilar Sanders.  According to the city, responding officers “deemed it prudent to detain Mrs. Sanders.”
