2 People Dead After Dallas Apartment Shooting
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Two people are dead after an assailant burst into an apartment in southwest Oak Cliff and opened fire. The incident happened at about midnight at the Artisan Ridge Apartments, located in the 5400 block of Preakness Lane, and the attack was done with children inside of the home.
According to police, a person knocked on the apartment door. When a woman inside answered the knock, she was immediately shot. The assailant then went to the back of the apartment to shoot and kill a man. Two children — both under age 10 — were also inside, but neither of those kids were hurt during the fatal attack. Officials on the scene have not said if the kids saw or heard any of the violence.
The children are both now safe with their grandmother.
