ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) – Arlington Police say one man is dead after his neighbor shot him following a long dispute.

According to police records, Franklin Hudson, 66, has been charged with murder after opening fire upon his neighbor in the 2400 block of Redbrook Court just after 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say when neighbors tried to help the victim, but Hudson began shooting at them. No one else was hurt, and Hudson was arrested at the scene.

Police have not said what the two were arguing about. Hudson is jailed on $500,000 bond.

His mugshot has not been released because witnesses have not been shown a photo lineup.
