EULESS (CBSDFW.COM) — A body was discovered Friday about 1:30 p.m. near highway 157 and 10.

Police are trying to figure out if it’s missing 19-year-old Ashley Valladares.

The body was found 200 yards from her front door.

She disappeared two weeks ago.

“That’s the spot right there,” says Clarence Johnson pointing to some bushes in a field near the apartment complex.

He was walking his dog Angel when she started pulling him towards the area where the body was discovered.

“Oh I broke down couldn’t say nothing ain’t never walked up on a dead body I couldn’t believe it,” Johnson says.

Around 11:30 p.m. on May 4th Ashley reportedly left work at KFC in Euless and went to her apartment that she shares with her boyfriend.

Her boyfriend told police that she was in the apartment cutting a man’s hair he didn’t know for some extra cash.

He got angry that the man was there so late and left not returning.

“No doubt in my mind that’s her body,” says her father Jamil Valladares in Spanish outside the Euless Police Department “I have been feeling like something was wrong like she was dead.”

Her father says that it is not like her to just leave, “She wouldn’t have left all of her things.  She calls me every day and I have not heard from her.  It’s not like her,” Valladares says.

Police say they hope to have a positive identification of the body by early next week.

“The body is in such a state of decomposition that we are at the mercy of the Medical Examiner’s officer,”  says Lt. Eric Starnes with the Euless Police Department. “From the time she was filed as a missing person we went ahead and collected her toothbrush and other items that we would need for DNA evidence.”

Ashley’s family waits and hopes to get some answers soon.

Her father was hoping to see the body Friday night but was told he could not.

Investigators say they want to talk to Ashley’s boyfriend again.

At this point, they are not calling him a suspect and say he’s been cooperative, but they haven’t been able to reach him since early this week.
