OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Jacob House and Scott Arthur had two hits and three RBIs apiece and Daniel Mengden pitched 6 2-3 strong innings, leading two-time defending champion Texas A&M to a 10-4 victory over Kansas in the Big 12 tournament Wednesday.
The second-seeded Aggies (42-14) won their eighth game in a row and improved to 11-1 in May. They’ll play Thursday night against No. 6 Missouri. The No. 7 Jayhawks (22-34) play No. 3 Texas on Thursday afternoon.
Texas A&M used a four-run fifth inning to break open the game.
Mengden (3-3) was tagged for one unearned run. He gave up five hits, walked one and struck out five.
Frank Duncan, who came in holding opponents to a .217 batting average, allowed seven runs on 10 hits in 5 2-3 innings.
Tyler Naquin had four hits for the Aggies. Tucker Tharp, Jordan Dreiling and Michael Suiter had two hits each for Kansas.
