ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - Six Flags Over Texas has a lot more to offer than just rollercoasters and rides. The Arlington amusement park is introducing a slate of new shows that promise big entertainment. CBS 11 News took an early look at what visitors can expect to see this summer, including a messy comedy act and a high-tech dance performance.

“Aga-Boom is physical slapstick comedy,” said park spokeswoman Sharon Parker. “It just involves a lot of interaction with our guests and LOTS of toilet paper.” The clown show is much like a Three Stooges act. “I think guests are going to see something that they’ve never seen at our theme park before. We’re very exicted to have this show come to Six Flags Over Texas.”

But the coolest new show is, arguably, one called iLuminate. It takes place in the dark and features dancers wearing light-up costumes, which are synchronized to the music. Miral Kotb is the created of the technology and concept. She is both a software engineer and a dance choreography. She developed the iLuminate idea to combine her two passions, and put a new spin on dance. “There’s going to be illusions,” she explained. “There’s going to be people appearing and disappearing, people with long arms, people falling in love, people just having fun in a planet that we created just for Six Flags.”

The iLuminate show is something that really needs to be seen to be believed. Lucky for you, CBS 11 News was given a special early performance on Friday morning. Check that out in the video below!

Both the Aga-Boom and iLuminate shows start at the park on Saturday and run through August.
