HURST (CBSDFW.COM) – Vandals struck overnight Wednesday in residential Hurst-area neighborhoods, shooting out the windows of 18 cars with pellet guns.

Hurst Police Department spokesman Sgt. Craig Teague said 15 windows were shot out in residential neighborhoods North of Highway 183 in Hurst while three others were shot out in an area west of Precinct Line Rd., west of the city.

“All happened last night, and we have no suspect information,” Teague wrote in an email.

In January, vandals used BB or pellet guns to cause at least $20,000 worth of damage in Haltom City. The suspects targeted both vehicles and businesses.

Authorities then estimated each car window to cost $200 to fix. It’s not clear whether the crimes are related.

Teague said to call Hurst Police at 817.788.7166 if anyone has information regarding the crimes.
