DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Police are searching for a suspect who stole a vehicle with a baby in it early Saturday morning.
According to Ashaki Hardeman with the Dallas Police Department the vehicle was stolen from a convenience store at around 4 a.m. At the time of the theft the driver was inside of the store, located in the 9100 block of Bruton Road. He had left the vehicle running, with his one-year-old child inside.
The suspect then got into the vehicle and drove away while the child was still inside.
Less than a mile away the suspect dropped off the baby on a curb in the 2400 of Prairie Creek. A witness found the baby and called police. The baby was unharmed and returned to his father.
Dallas police are looking for the suspect.
