GRAPEVINE (CBSDFW.COM) - Everyone standing near two arguing families at one of Grapevine’s new spray parks was sprayed with a string of profanity on Sunday. Now a woman has to answer to Grapevine police.

According to authorities, the incident happened at the Dove Park and spray ground in the 1500 block of Hood Lane.

Kristy Dugray is accused of unleashing a string of curse words in front of children at the park.

Grapevine police say they are drawing a line when it comes to swear words and the freedom of speech.

“There are limits to first amendment rights,” explained Lieutenant Barry Bowling, with the Grapevine Police Department. “It is not just simply that people can say what they want, anytime they want, there are limits to what they can do to express themselves. What they cannot do is create a disorder in that sense.”

Witnesses allege that Dugray and another woman began shouting at one another.

“One of the parties involved in the disturbance made some verbal threats, along with a string of profanities that offended people that were standing by as well as I’m sure trying to protect the children that were in the area,” Bowling said.

A lifeguard at the spray park reportedly witnessed the exchange and was able to independently verify what happened, eliminating the she-said, she-said.

Dugray was cited for disorderly conduct.
