LANCASTER (CBSDFW.COM) - Police say a nine-year-old shot his uncle in what they believe was an accident.
Lt. Kelly Hooten with the Lancaster Police Department says officers were called to a residence 400 block of Alexander Street at around 2:10 a.m. Sunday.
When police arrived they saw the 46-year-old had been shot once. The victim told police that he was trying to teach his nephew about guns and gun safety.
The man was taken to the hospital. His condition is unknown.
Other adults were in the residence at the time of shooting but no one else was hurt.
No criminal charges have been filed at this time.
