FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – Fort Worth Police say they’ve arrested a man responsible for up to 13 robberies in Fort Worth and nearby cities. Terry Wilcox, 48, is in federal custody and has been charged with bank robbery.
Last week, police issued a release searching for a suspect who was involved in 10 robberies between May 25 and July 11 on the west side of Fort Worth and around White Settlement.
The release said the man was also targeting small businesses that are housed in strip centers. It said he would rob them during off-times when few customers were in the locations.
During each robbery, police say, the suspect pulled a gun on the clerk and walked out with money.
Police say this man is Wilcox, who was arrested on Tuesday related to robbing an Arlington bank. The Fort Worth Police Robbery Unit and fellow robbery units from other city police departments will send the case to the district attorney to review.
Fort Worth police have asked media outlets to wait to show any photos of Wilcox because they’re showing witnesses photo lineups.
