FRISCO (CBSDFW.COM) – An agonizing wait continues for a Frisco father who fears his two young children have been taken out of the country by his ex-wife.

Christopher Dobry says he worried that his Vietnamese wife would one day try to take their kids there after the couple’s divorce. When she didn’t show up with them on Friday he immediately feared the worst.

“Incredibly frustrated and disappointed,” says Dobry.

Nicole Trang Dobry, 37, is missing from her Dallas apartment and left behind her purse, cell phone and driver’s license.

“She puts her own self interests ahead of the children,” says Dobry, “I believe she is mentally unstable.”

A Denton County judge granted Christopher Dobry custody of the children following the couple’s divorce in April. Dobry says he tried to keep his ex-wife from getting unsupervised visits and worries she will harm the kids.

“I feel like that’s a possibility if she feels like they’re a burder while she’s trying to flee,” says Dobry.

Despite his fears, Frisco Police have yet to launch an investigation or activate an Amber Alert. That’s because there’s no evidence art this point of a threat to the children.

But international travel has an alert for Nicole Trang who does have relatives in the Dallas area so there is hope that the children will be found there.
