LANCASTER (CBSDFW.COM) - A police officer remains in critical condition after an off-duty traffic accident Saturday morning.

City Manager Opal Mauldin Robertson says Officer Dustin Dodson was traveling westbound on Highway 67 in Johnson County around 6:50 a.m. when the accident happened. Dodson was subsequently taken to the hospital.

No other details have been released and Robertson says the accident is under investigation.

Dodson has been with the Lancaster Police Department since March 2010.
