DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Three Garland youths are among five individuals who died in a collision with a suspected drunken driver in El Paso Sunday night.
The El Paso County Medical Examiner’s office says Jassmine Alferez, 18, her cousin Brenda Morales, 12, and her 11-year-old brother Demarco Morales all died in the wreck.
El Paso County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Angelica Becerra said the three were in a car with their grandfather and another person when a pickup truck blew through a stop sign and slammed into their car.
Becerra said all five passengers died at the scene. The driver of that truck, Alberto Coronado, 23, was charged with five counts of intoxication manslaughter.
